Product updates

  • Sightful emerged from stealth and announced the launch of Spacetop, the world’s first AR laptop.

  • Spacetop utilizes AR to overcome the screen size limitations of traditional laptops, providing users with a 100-inch customizable virtual canvas. Users can access web applications through different AR windows, engaging in activities such as collaborating on Zoom and Google Docs. The company’s laptop, which has a battery life of ~5+ hours and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chip was created in collaboration with electronics company Wistron and utilizes custom AR glasses from NReal. Further, the company noted that its Spacetop Early Access program is open to 1,000 early adopters.

  • Spacetop, an Israel-based company, was developed by a team of over 60 specialists in spatial computing, consisting of experienced individuals from companies like Apple, Microsoft, and Magic Leap. Sightful, the parent company of Spacetop, has successfully secured USD 61 million in funding from various global investors, including Aleph, Corner Ventures, and others.

  • Analyst QuickTake: By introducing Spacetop, the company aims to democratize the use of AR applications that were previously limited to remote work assistance, gaming, and entertainment. The company noted that its primary focus was on seamlessly integrating AR into various everyday life activities.
