Tesla rolls out FSD Beta in Europe and Australia

Geographic expansion

  • Electric vehicle and clean energy company Tesla has started rolling out its suite of advanced driving assist systems (ADAS) dubbed "Full Self-Driving" (FSD) Beta to a limited number of testers in Europe and Australia.

  • According to sources, FSD Beta has so far been rolled out in at least two cars in Europe (specifically in Belgium and Germany) and one in Australia.

  • Tesla's job listings reported earlier this year in Switzerland, Finland, and Denmark for ADAS Test Operators also suggest an increased focus on its ADAS development in Europe.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Although the number of vehicles is currently small, this development indicates progress for FSD Beta beyond North America. The news comes despite the many setbacks that Tesla’s FSD has faced in the recent past, including recalls and growing regulatory and public scrutiny.
