Crossover Health and Aetna partner to provide primary care in Seattle

Partnerships

  • Direct primary care provider Crossover Health partnered with health insurance provider Aetna to provide primary care services to patients in Seattle via employers.

  • Under the partnership, the care services, called Aetna Advanced Primary Health, will include virtual and physical consultations and care towards mental health, physical therapy, and chiropractic services. Unlike the existing model, this joint program will be made available to members on a fixed-fee payment model. Further, the pilot program will begin on the 1st of January 2022 for self-insured employers, with more than 51 employees, by offering services at two Crossover Health Centers in Seattle. In the long term, both companies have plans to expand this service to other markets as well.

  • Aetna is one of the largest health insurance providers in the US and was acquired by retail giant CVS Health in 2018. It provides health plans to members via employers and providers.
