Demox Labs, a developer of zero-knowledge (zk) Web3 applications, has raised USD 4.5 million in a pre-seed funding round led by HackVC, with participation from DCVC, Amplify Partners, and Coinbase Ventures, among others.
The fresh capital will be used to develop zk blockchain infrastructure for enterprises, deploy privacy-based frameworks for other developers, and enhance Leo Wallet’s privacy technology and interoperability with other networks.
Along with the fundraiser, the company also launched the Leo Wallet, a privacy-focused cryptocurrency wallet designed for use with the Aleo blockchain. Individuals can download the app directly on their browsers and create non-custodial wallets to interact with the blockchain and dApps. It already has over 40,000 people signed up on its waitlist.
Formed in 2021, Demox Labs aims to develop privacy-focused infrastructure and products using zk-proof technology.
