According to CNBC, Microsoft has signed a multi-billion deal with CoreWeave, a provider of accelerated GPU compute solutions, to use cloud computing infrastructure to ensure ChatGPT has adequate computing power amid rising demand for it.
ChatGPT currently relies on Microsoft’s Azure cloud infrastructure for its compute requirements.
Formed in 2017, CoreWeave provides access to Nvidia's GPUs for training and running AI models and data analytics. It provides an alternative to companies renting out similar cloud servers.
