CleanRobotics, a Pennsylvania-based startup offering a waste sorting and auditing robotic system called TrashBot, has partnered with Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) to implement TrashBot to assist with the airport's waste management initiatives.
The project is facilitated by PIT's xBridge Innovation Center, which serves as a proving ground for technologies and startups focused on addressing the needs of airports. As part of PIT's commitment to supporting innovative aviation technologies, TrashBot will be integrated into the facility, hoping to sort passenger waste and recyclables with an accuracy rate of 96%.
Analyst QuickTake: CleanRobotics has been actively partnering with companies to expand the reach of its TrashBot. Earlier this year, the company partnered with ARO to deploy TrashBot Zero nationwide. The company has also successfully implemented TrashBot in several other organizations, including Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and the National Aviary.
