Agtonomy, a San Francisco-based startup offering solutions to convert tractors and equipment into autonomous machines, has received an undisclosed investment from Bobcat Company, a farm and construction equipment manufacturer.
This investment aims to accelerate development by delivering value to specialty agriculture farmers and growers to assist them in lowering operating costs, achieving greater efficiencies, and addressing ongoing skilled labor shortages.
Analyst QuickTake: This equity investment comes on the heels of a strategic partnership announced earlier this year between Agtonomy and Bobcat aimed at advancing agricultural production through electrification, autonomous operation, and digital technologies. The two companies together are working toward a goal of increasing adoption of autonomous tractors in the agricultural sector.
