Medius, a payout automation platform, has announced its intent to acquire card and non-card expense management solutions provider Expensya for an undisclosed sum. This acquisition is reportedly one of the largest in the MENA region.
Medius will look to leverage the complementary geographic and product strengths it has with Expensya to cross-sell the platforms. Moreover, Medius can benefit from Expensya’s presence in France to take advantage of the French e-invoicing mandate.
Expensya caters to more than 6,000 customers and has over 700,000 active users across 100+ countries. Meanwhile, the company’s recurring revenue has reportedly more than doubled over the past two years.
