Shift5, an operational technology security startup, has raised USD 33 million in an extension to its Series B funding round led by Moore Strategic Ventures, with participation from Booz Allen Ventures, Teamworthy Ventures, and JetBlue's venture capital division. The overall Series B round closed with a total of USD 83 million raised, bringing the firm's total funding since launch to USD 108 million.
Shift5 plans to use the funds to make additional hires, grow its federal business, invest in engineering strategy, and expand into new markets.
The funding news follows the announcement of a partnership with JetBlue to implement data observability and security solutions for aircraft avionics systems.
