Beep, an autonomous shuttle operator, has announced plans to launch a fare-free autonomous shuttle program in Orlando, Florida, funded by the City Council.
The test pilot will be launched in August and will run through April 2024 using two of Beep’s autonomous buses. The planned bus route is along Garland Avenue, Amelia Street, Terry Avenue, and Livingston Street.
Analyst QuickTake: Beep first entered Orlando with its autonomous shuttles in 2019, when it introduced the shuttles in Lake Nona. Later on, the company introduced the vehicle in additional cities and locations in Florida, including Jacksonville, Tradition, and Zoo Miami , while also expanding its operations into several other states.
