Life5, a Spanish digital life insurance provider, raised EUR 10 million (~USD 10.7 million) in a Series A funding round led by Singular, with participation from Mundi Ventures and Global Brain. The total funds raised by the company now stand at EUR 17 million (~USD 18.2 million). Along with the raise, the company rebranded itself to Life5 from Getlife.
The company aims to channel the fresh funds toward developing new technological solutions, expanding its workforce, and improving its infrastructure.
Founded in 2021, Life5 offers digital life insurance that does not require medical examinations. Instead, customers are only required to fill out a form and its underwriting engine analyzes the answers against 700 illnesses and risk professions to recommend suitable life insurance policies. It operates as a managing general agent (MGA) and works with several leading carriers such as AXA and CNP Assurances. Currently, the company serves nearly 9,000 customers in Spain and France, with plans to expand its offerings to Germany and Portugal.
