Thirty Madison acquires The Pill Club’s assets post-bankruptcy for USD 32 million

M&A

  • Virtual healthcare and asynchronous provider Thirty Madison has acquired assets from recently bankrupt online pharmacy provider The Pill Club in a deal valued at USD 32.3 million. The assets acquired include over 100,000 patient files, which will enable the company to provide continued care for those patients through its online birth control prescription plan, Nurx.

  • Patients that are absorbed into Thirty Madison’s platform will also have the option of choosing other healthcare providers. Those who opt for the transition will be able to receive additional services beyond reproductive care, such as mental health and dermatology services.

  • The sale of assets comes after The Pill Club filed for bankruptcy in April 2023, after the company reached a settlement with the Californian authorities in relation to fraudulent charges connected to the state’s Medi-Cal program.
