MAJORITY raises USD 9.75 million in Series B extension round

Funding

  • MAJORITY, an immigrant-focused neobank, raised USD 9.75 million in an extension to its Series B funding round led by Valar Ventures, with participation from Heartcore Capital. The total funds raised by the company now stand at USD 93.3 million.

  • The new funding will be used to support its growth into Laredo, Texas, as well as its plans to expand along the US-Mexico border.

  • Moreover, the company announced the opening of a community meetup space in Laredo, which is located closer to The Gateway to the Americas International Bridge, as it focuses on targeting Mexican immigrants.

  • MAJORITY also reported experiencing a sixfold increase in transaction volumes per year.
