MAJORITY, an immigrant-focused neobank, raised USD 9.75 million in an extension to its Series B funding round led by Valar Ventures, with participation from Heartcore Capital. The total funds raised by the company now stand at USD 93.3 million.
The new funding will be used to support its growth into Laredo, Texas, as well as its plans to expand along the US-Mexico border.
Moreover, the company announced the opening of a community meetup space in Laredo, which is located closer to The Gateway to the Americas International Bridge, as it focuses on targeting Mexican immigrants.
MAJORITY also reported experiencing a sixfold increase in transaction volumes per year.
