Aduro Clean Technologies, a Canadian water-based technology developer, has established a European subsidiary, Aduro Clean Technologies Europe (ACTE), in Geleen, Netherlands.
The company has selected the Netherlands based on regional relationships, including successful partnerships with Brightlands Chemelot Campus (Brightlands) and Chemelot Innovation and Learning Labs (CHILL).
ACTE will focus on advancing the Hydrochemolytic process for plastics upcycling (HPU) within the European market, with a focus on constructing a demonstration unit at the Brightlands site. Aduro has also started building its European team and is in discussions to onboard key personnel.
Aduro also plans to progress on the following objectives after obtaining data from the pilot-scale Hydrochemolytic continuous-flow plastic unit and onboarding a local team.
Engage European stakeholders for partnerships and corporate development
Create a local partner consortium for HPU commercialization and demonstration unit buildout
Leverage government grants for technology demonstration and commercialization
Partner with local service providers for engineering, feedstock, and offtake support.
