NUBURU, a seller of 3D printers and related products, announced the launch of BL-1000-F, a 1-kilowatt, high-brightness blue laser technology that increases the BL's laser power from 250 W to 1,000 W.
This enables higher speed, micron-level precision, and repeatable high-quality welds targeting metal 3D printing applications, as well as EV battery welding.
By combining the BL-1000-F with a scanner, users can increase speed and precise conduction mode welding, meeting required quality and process stability standards. This also helps reduce the overall cost of ownership.
Analyst QuickTake: Earlier this month, the company entered a joint technology agreement with GE Additive to accelerate the expansion and application of blue laser technology in metal 3D printing. On a separate note, earlier this week, the company announced entering definitive agreements with several existing investors to receive USD 7.925 million in cash to support the company’s commercialization efforts.
