Nauto, an AI-powered driver and fleet safety platform, has secured a strategic investment from Stellantis Ventures, the venture capital arm of automaker Stellantis.
The partnership with Stellantis allows Nauto to extend its safety benefits to more light commercial vehicles and, eventually, to consumer vehicles.
The company also reported introducing a range of safety functionalities over the past year, such as pedestrian collision warning, distraction detection, the Nauto Connect mobile app, and in-vehicle alerts for drowsiness, cell phone use, seat belt policy violation, and smoking.
Analyst QuickTake: Stellantis Ventures' investment in Nauto adds to previous investor interest from automakers like General Motors Ventures, Toyota AI Ventures, and BMW iVentures. This investment validates Nauto's technology and strengthens its strategic position in the market. It enhances Nauto's potential for growth and opens up opportunities for collaboration in developing safer and more efficient transportation solutions.
