Tuned, a specialized virtual care provider for hearing health, has launched a teen-focused hearing solution as part of an employer-sponsored benefit. Through the new product, teenagers between the ages of 13 to 17 will be able to receive hearing assessments and virtual consultations as part of their parent's employee benefits across the US.
The offering will ship parents a pair of headphones and an iPad for their children, pre-loaded with two hearing assessments: Rhythmicity (designed to test children’s ability to stay on beat with a rhythm) and Sound Scouts (which tests children’s ability to hear sound with and without background noise). Subsequent to the two assessments, children and parents/caregivers can consult virtually with Tuned specialists to discuss the test’s results and receive referrals to local providers if treatment is required.
