Volocopter collaborates with ADAC Luftrettung to develop next-generation eVTOL for emergency medical services

Partnerships

  • eVTOL developer Volocopter has partnered with charitable air rescue company ADAC Luftrettung to develop customized eVTOLs for rescue services. They have signed agreements to purchase two VoloCity aircraft for research operations in Germany, with the possibility of acquiring an additional 150 units in the future.

  • The research operations will involve dispatching a pilot and emergency physician to incident locations, complementing existing rescue helicopters. After a successful two-year research period, ADAC Luftrettung may incorporate Volocopter eVTOLs into its rescue service operations.

  • This collaboration aims to enhance emergency medical services and provide faster assistance using advanced eVTOL technology.
