VitaDAO launches VITA-FAST tokens to govern longevity research

Product updates

  • VitaDAO, a collective for community-governed drug development focusing on longevity research, launched VITA-FAST tokens which allow token holders to influence longevity research directly. Token holders can decide on intellectual property licensing, set experiment priorities, and govern research on autophagy.

  • The initial token sale was oversubscribed by 2,000% with USD 620,000 in bids, demonstrating the public's eagerness to participate in scientific research.

  • As of June 2023, VitaDAO has amassed over 9,000 enthusiasts, researchers, and contributors utilizing its platform. Additionally, the organization has distributed more than USD 4 million in funding to 17+ projects, which focus on researching the diseases of aging, with a particular emphasis on cellular biology and the repair of damage associated with the hallmarks of aging.

  • Analyst QuickTake: This January, VitaDAO raised USD 4.1 million in a strategic funding round . The funds were earmarked toward investing in longevity research projects, preceding the spinout of VitaDAO’s first biotech startups scheduled in Q1 2023, and commercializing and licensing its IP-NFT assets through its Molecule DAO partnership.
