Volatus partners with GREENPORT to build eVTOL vertiport

Partnerships

  • Volatus Infrastructure, a Wisconsin-based eVTOL infrastructure technology developer, has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with GREENPORT International Airport and Technology Center.

  • Under this agreement, the two companies intend to build an eVTOL vertiport as part of the Phase I development of the 5,000-acre GREENPORT International Airport and Technology Center on 5,000 acres in northwest Bastrop County, Texas.

  • The vertiport will include a terminal building, landing pad, and vehicle-agnostic charging station designed by Volatus. The companies aim to break ground on the project in 2023, with plans to open in early 2024. This will be the second commercial vertiport in the US.
