ITM Power partners with Mott Corporation on electrolyzer stack technology

Partnerships

  • ITM Power, a hydrogen energy solutions developer listed on the London Stock Exchange, has partnered with Mott Corporation, a precision filtration company, to work on advancing porous transport layers (PTL), a key component of proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysis.

  • As such, the two companies are looking to improve the efficiency and performance of ITM’s PEM electrolysis technology, to then develop ITM’s next-generation stack.

  • The PTL distributes electrical current and fluids uniformly across the surface of the membrane. By optimizing the PTL, the performance of the core technology is maximized.
