Plan A, a German B2B carbon offsetting startup, announced a long-term partnership with Alphabet, the leasing and mobility provider of the BMW Group, to decarbonize fleet emissions.
Under the partnership, both companies co-developed the “Alphabet Carbon Manager,” a first-of-its-kind emissions management and decarbonization platform. This platform provides the tools required for fleet managers to measure and report their CO2 emissions.
The tool is being rolled out in 11 European countries, with Alphabet customers able to access the platform in Germany from Q3 and other countries to follow later this year.
Analyst QuickTake: This new fleet emissions dashboard follows Alphabet's European Fleet Emission Monitor (EFEM) study, which found that nearly 83% of Alphabet's customers recognize the importance of reducing their fleet emissions—37% of customers are already tracking and monitoring emissions using customized full-stack sustainability platforms.
