Blockchain network Artela raises over USD 6 million in seed funding

Funding

  • Artela, a provider of a base blockchain layer, has raised over USD 6 million in a seed funding round led by Shima Capital, with participation from A&T Capital, Big Brain Holdings, and SevenX Ventures, among others.

  • The funding will be used to expand Artela's workforce, develop its technology, and drive its market expansion efforts.

  • Artela is developing a foundational blockchain network for decentralized applications. Its unique approach empowers developers to build native extensions on the blockchain's core layer, unlocking enhanced on-chain programmability. With Aspect, its extension layer, Artela enriches programmability while maintaining compatibility with existing smart contracts. The company is set to release the Aspect white paper and launch the initial testnet in the upcoming months.
