Cyber insurance provider Coalition has announced the acquisition of Jumbo, a B2C smartphone application that allows users to control their privacy on the web. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Jumbo’s mobile app incorporates a dashboard that allows Android and iOS users to manage their privacy across online platforms such as Google and Facebook, offering the ability to control privacy settings, manage search history, and delete old posts. Jumbo also incorporates two-factor authentication functionality and can be used as an authentication app for web services.
Jumbo says its application will no longer be updated, due to be discontinued next year. Though Coalition has not revealed its rationale behind the acquisition, the deal appears to be a move to acquire Jumbo’s team and security expertise.
Coalition also launched cyber insurance and errors and omissions (E&O) coverage in Quebec, Canada, offering streamlined quoting for SMBs, with a risk appetite covering firms of up to USD 1 billion in annual revenue.
