Telehealth provider Teladoc has expanded its partnership agreement with Microsoft to integrate Microsoft's generative AI for automated clinical documentation purposes. Through the partnership, Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Cognitive Services, and Nuance Dragon Ambient eXperience (DAX) solutions will be integrated into Teladoc's enterprise platform, Teladoc Health Solo, to assist clinicians using the solution to automatically generate clinical documentation during virtual consultations.
Additionally, through the partnership extension, Nuance DAX express will be integrated into Teladoc’s own platform, enabling automated clinical note-taking during virtual health visits carried out by Teladoc.
Teladoc and Microsoft first partnered in 2021 to integrate Microsoft Teams into Teladoc’s Solo platform and to expand the virtual health capabilities of Microsoft’s Cloud for Healthcare offering.
