Moodle acquires three US-based Moodle Partner companies

M&A

  • Moodle, a provider of online learning solutions, acquired US-based Moodle Partner companies My Learning Consultants, Moonami Learning Solutions, and Elearning Experts, and will merge them to form one services company, Moodle US. The deals are expected to close by June 2021.

  • With the formation of Moodle US, North American clients will be able to access a wide range of services directly from Moodle.

  • Founded in 2001 by Martin Dougiamas, Moodle is headquartered in Perth, Australia. The company launched a free and open-source LMS in 2002 for use in blended learning, distance education, flipped classroom, and other e-learning projects by schools, universities, workplaces, and other sectors.

  • Moodle is used to create private websites with online courses for educators and trainers to achieve learning goals. Moodle is currently used in more than 230 countries and is supported by a global network of certified Moodle Partners. Used by K-12 and higher education institutions, and corporations, Moodle had more than 250 million registered users worldwide as of April 2021.
