Daiya Foods launches Goat Cheeze and Feta Cheeze Crumbles

Product updates

  • Daiya Foods, a plant-based foods company, has launched two new dairy-free cheeses for the Canadian market: Goat Cheeze Flavour Crumbles and Feta Cheeze Flavour Crumbles.

  • The products are available at major retailers including Loblaws, Real Canadian Superstore, No Frills, Metro Ontario, and Zehrs and will launch at Sobeys and Safeway in September.

  • The new products claim to be the first made using oat flour, which provides a richer and creamier taste compared to other plant-based cheese alternatives. They are fully pre-crumbled for use as toppings for various dishes such as salad, pizza, and pasta.

  • Both products are sold at an SRP of CAD 6.49 (~USD 4.9) for a 170g tub, which is ~5% and ~16% cheaper than similar-sized real feta cheese and goat cheese options sold at Walmart Canada.
