FedML collaborates with Theta to launch decentralized supercluster for generative AI and content recommendation

Partnerships

  • FedML, a distributed ML operations (MLOps) platform, has collaborated with Theta Labs, a Web3 blockchain infrastructure for video, media, and entertainment, to launch a decentralized supercluster for generative AI and content recommendation.

  • FedML allows Theta Edge Network community members to offer their individual computing resources for training and deploying AI models, catering to personalized content recommendations for Theta.tv viewers.

  • The FedML clients are integrated into the Theta Edge nodes, allowing them to regularly fetch data from the Theta.tv back-end. This data is utilized by the FedML training platform to conduct training, fine-tuning, and deployment of the video recommendation model.

  • Theta's decentralized compute approach, powered by edge nodes, serves as a means to incentivize and reward their active community. It offers rewards in two forms: An enhanced user experience on Theta.tv and tangible rewards for the node community members who contribute their resources.
