Metaverse platform Passage raised USD 6 million through a sale of its native cryptocurrency, PASG. The funding round was led by Akash Network, with participation from Druid Ventures, Vitwit, Cosmostation, HyperChain Capital, Chorus One, and Cogitent Ventures.
The raised funds will be used to continue the development of Passage's social platform, establish tech partnerships, and add community options such as plug-ins, world-building assets, and avatar customization. The company aims to enhance its platform's functionality and provide creators with more tools for building immersive 3D worlds.
Passage is a blockchain-agnostic metaverse platform that supports 3D communication and cross-world commerce for fungible and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The platform, which launched in early July in closed alpha, provides creators with no-code tools to build immersive 3D worlds.
