PreAct Technologies, a developer of LiDAR sensor technologies, has introduced Mojave, an advanced low-cost LiDAR sensor solution for various applications including automotive, smart cities, robotics, agriculture, etc.
The unit will be offered for USD 350 and is now available for pre-order. The system will be made available to global customers in September and distributed globally by Digi-Key Electronics and Amazon.
The unit has a field-of-view (FoV) of 52.5 (vertical) x 70 (horizontal) x 87.5 (deep) degrees and a range of 0.3–4.5 meters at 10% reflectivity.
Analyst QuickTake: Mojave is one of the three LiDAR sensors developed by PreAct Technologies, and one of the two pitched toward automotive applications. The other sensor targeted at automotive OEMs is called “Sahara” and is yet to be made available to the mass market.
