Bitmore, a Hertfordshire-based brand specializing in carbon-neutral and sustainable consumer technology, has received GBP 500,000 (~USD 637,264) from the East of England Regional Growth Loan Scheme. The scheme provides loans between GBP 50,000 (~USD 63,724) and GBP 500,000 (~USD 637,264) to established East of England-based businesses with a minimum annual turnover of GBP 100,000 (~USD 127,448).
The company expects to use the funds to improve its sales and marketing functions, with a new website currently under development, and to support planned hiring in the ecommerce, marketing, and administrative departments.
Founded in 2011, Bitmore supplies carbon-neutral and sustainable consumer technology, gadgets, and accessories made from recycled plastics and plant-based alternatives. The company’s most recent product launch was in September 2022, the “Snoooza,” a carbon-neutral neck pillow made with fiber from recycled plastic bottles. As of date, the company supplies 30 of the world’s largest airlines including British Airways, Virgin, and Emirates, and was certified as a B-Corp earlier this year.
