Archer secures USD 215 million in equity investment round led by Stellantis

Funding

  • Archer Aviation, a California-based eVTOL company, reported that it has received a USD 215 million equity investment led by a USD 70 million investment by Stellantis, as well as investment from Boeing, United Airlines, and other financial institutions, including ARK Invest. This brings the company’s total funding to USD 1.3 billion.

  • The company intends to use the funds as working capital and for general corporate purposes, including the continued development of the aircraft and related technology, and build manufacturing and test facilities.

  • Analyst QuickTake: During the same month, Archer also reported that it had signed new contracts with the US Air Force , which had a total value of up to USD 142 million. This is an extension of its existing partnership with the US Department of Defense, which first began in 2021. Under this partnership, Archer promised to deliver six of its Midnight aircrafts, share flight data and test reports, carry out pilot training, and develop maintenance and repair operations.
