Ramp raises USD 300 million in funding

Funding

  • Ramp, a company providing diverse business expense and payout management solutions, raised USD 300 million in a funding round led by Thrive Capital, Sands Capital, General Catalyst, and Founders Fund. This round brings the total funding raised by Ramp to around USD 1.7 billion.

  • However, the round is at a reduced valuation of USD 5.8 billion, from its USD 8.1 billion valuation in March 2022. The funds will be invested in accelerating expansion, product developments, and recruitment.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Ramp joins several business expense and payout management solutions providers that have raised funding rounds of over USD 100 million this year. This includes Zip ( USD 100 million in May ), Tipalti ( USD 150 million in May ), and PayEm ( USD 220 million in January ).
