Hungri Games, a Web3 mobile gaming studio, has raised USD 1.9 million in seed funding at a valuation of USD 23 million. The round was led by Bogazici Ventures, with participation from Sebastien Borget (co-founder and COO of The Sandbox), Roko Finance, and Preston Labs, among others.
The funding will be used to expand Hungri Games' portfolio and develop multiple titles, including the highly anticipated racing RPG, Metahorse Unity.
Metahorse Unity is a free-to-play horse racing with role-playing game elements; players will be able to train, breed, and race horses in a virtual world.
Hungri Games, founded in 2019, is a gaming firm based in Istanbul and the UK that specializes in Web3 games. It creates and distributes creative mid-core and core games. The company partnered with Polygon to develop Metahorse Unity and it has currently employed 30 people.
