Secure access service edge (SASE) vendor Versa Networks has announced several new AI-powered features for its platform's integrated VersaAI suite, including GenAI tools for threat detection, improved malware detection, adaptive micro-segmentation, data loss prevention (DLP), and policy-based security controls for GenAI.
The update also includes VersaGPT, a GenAI solution based on the Verbo chatbot, which allows users to ask natural language questions about Versa documentation, configuration information, and recommendations, and VANI, a machine learning (ML) system trained to detect and predict anomalies.
Analyst QuickTake: Versa joins a number of cybersecurity providers in implementing GenAI tools and protections, including fellow SASE provider Netskope , which launched a monitoring tool for GenAI apps in June, and Trend Micro , which announced an AI “Companion” for its Vision One platform that allows analysts to perform security operations using natural language commands, also in June.
