Beep, an autonomous shuttle operator, has partnered with Oxa (formerly Oxbotica), a UK-based autonomous vehicle software developer, to integrate Oxa's self-driving software, Oxa Driver, into Beep's autonomous mobility solutions in the US. This marks Oxa's entry into the US market.
Oxa Driver's software will be used in various vehicle types operated by Beep, including electric shuttles.
Initially, Beep will deploy autonomous electric shuttles powered by Oxa's software at the SunTrax test facility in Florida.
Analyst QuickTake: Today’s partnership will add Oxa to the list of companies that Beep collaborates with to obtain self-driving technologies. In fact, the company has partnerships with NAVYA, a French self-driving tech developer owned by Ford, and Robotic Research, an autonomous driving technology company, for somewhat similar purposes.
