Connected fitness equipment manufacturer Peloton announced plans to debut in Australia in the second half of 2021, marking its entry into the Asia Pacific region.
The Peloton Bike, Bike+ models, and Peloton App will be introduced as part of the launch. Customers will be able to purchase the equipment either via its physical retail locations across major Australian cities, including Sydney and Melbourne, or its online store.
Peloton Bike and Bike+ will be priced at a slight premium of AUD 2,895 (approximately USD 2,220) and AUD 3,695 (USD 2,830), respectively, inclusive of GST. In comparison, the models are priced at USD 1,895 and USD 2,495, respectively, in the US.
Its all-access membership is available for AUD 59 (USD 45) per month, providing members with access to its workout content library and multiple account creation capabilities.
Peloton offers bikes and treadmills to its members and produces exercise video content. It provides users with the option of taking on-demand workout classes led by instructors from home as well as live-streamed classes in a group setting.
