AI21 Labs, an AI startup based in Tel Aviv developing foundation models and related applications, has raised USD 155 million in a Series C funding round. Investors include Walden Catalyst, Pitango, SCB10X, b2venture, Samsung Next, and Amnon Shashua, the founder of Intel-owned Mobileye and a co-founder of AI21 Labs. Notable participants also include Google and NVIDIA.
This round brings AI21 Labs' total raised capital to USD 283 million, valuing the company at USD 1.4 billion—slightly higher than previously reported.
The funds will be used to accelerate the growth of its text-based generative AI services for enterprises.
