Firefly selected to launch three L3Harris satellites

Partnerships

  • Firefly Aerospace, a rocket manufacturer, has agreed with L3Harris Technologies, a satellite builder, to launch three missions on Firefly's Alpha rocket.

  • The partnership between Firefly and L3Harris will involve launching three dedicated missions on the Alpha rocket in 2026. The missions will carry satellites designed and built by L3Harris under a USD 225 million contract from the US Government.

  • The satellites will support national security space missions. Firefly is expanding its facilities to support government and commercial launches and is also developing a new medium launch vehicle, expected to launch in 2025.
