Biotech start-up Inceptive has raised USD 100 million in a funding round co-led by Nvidia and Andreessen Horowitz to develop novel vaccines and drugs using AI.
Inceptive, founded by a former Google AI expert, focuses on designing molecules using AI. Inceptive's AI software platform is designed to generate distinctive mRNA-based molecules and conduct initial tests on these molecules to license them to pharmaceutical firms for continued development and clinical trials. The company has already partnered with a major pharmaceutical company (name undisclosed) to develop an infectious disease vaccine.
