Cylib, a German lithium-ion battery recycling company, has commissioned a pilot plant in Aachen, Germany, to implement its proprietary lithium-ion battery recycling technology. This would be the company's first such facility.
The facility would recycle ~500 kg of batteries per day initially. Cylib plans to expand the capacity to several thousand tons per annum in the future.
Cylib’s water-based technology expects to recover all elements in batteries, including raw materials, without the use of chemicals.
