Monzo launches ‘Investments’ for customers to invest in BlackRock-managed funds

Product updates

  • Monzo, a UK-based neobank serving individuals and businesses, launched a new product called “Investments,” which allows customers to invest in funds managed by BlackRock.

  • Customers will be invited to join a waitlist, and eligible users will have the opportunity to create investment pots and invest in three curated funds selected by BlackRock, each associated with varying levels of risk. Individuals can start investing as little as GBP 1.

  • In addition, customers have the flexibility and choice to amend, cancel, or withdraw their investments at any time. However, if they showcase financial difficulty, such as falling behind on debt payments, Monzo will restrict opening up new investments.

  • At present, Monzo serves over eight million customers in the UK.
