Mobileye, an Intel subsidiary developing technology for self-driving vehicles, has entered a strategic partnership with FAW Group, a Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer, to integrate Mobileye's advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving technology into FAW Group vehicles.
The companies plan to introduce the Mobileye ADAS platform “SuperVision” to FAW Hongqi brand vehicles and then intgrate Mobileye’s eyes-off and hands-off driving technology Chauffeur system into the E701 vehicle. The projects are expected to be deployed by 2024 and 2025, respectively.
Analyst QuickTake: Today’s partnership adds FAW Group to the growing list of automotive brands, including Ford, Geely, Zeekr, Tesla, BMW, Nissan, Dart, and Porsche, which have incorporated Mobileye’s technology into their vehicles.
