Watershed, a SaaS-based carbon management solution provider, has launched the Watershed Ecosystem, which includes the Watershed Marketplace, a new science advisory board, and partnerships with technology, data, and consulting firms. It is intended to scale up customers' climate programs by offering access to a network of resources.
The Watershed Marketplace comprises more than 45 suppliers offering high-integrity carbon removal credits, virtual power purchase agreements, and sustainable aviation fuel via Watershed’s partnership with the Sustainable Aviation Buyers Alliance.
Watershed has also expanded its technology partnerships by collaborating with Arcadia, an energy data provider, ecoinvent, an organization for environmental assessments, and the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF).
Additionally, the company has established consulting partnerships with Environmental Resource Management, a sustainability consultancy firm, Accenture, a professional services company, and Business for Social Responsibility, a sustainable business network. These companies will be providing their expertise to support Watershed’s clients in their decarbonization efforts. The company has also established a new science advisory board of climate scientists to provide industry expertise for measuring GHG emissions and vetting carbon removal projects.
