Greenback Recycling Technologies, a UK-based chemical recycler, has acquired Enval, a packaging materials-recycling company also based in the UK, to merge recycling solutions and operations. The launch of a joint recycling plant in Mexico preceded the acquisition.
Greenback expects to utilize Enval’s microwave-induced technology to process plastic-aluminum laminates and provide the recycled content for new food-grade packaging. Through the merger, the companies will develop integrated solutions to recycle post-consumer plastic packaging waste.
Founded in 2019, Greenback Recycling Technologies is an advanced plastics recycling company that employs Enval’s technology to recycle plastic packaging and multi-layer laminates. The company also provides an eco2veritas blockchain-based evidence system to track the circular value chain.
