Matterport, a 3D spatial data capture platform, has collaborated with Procore Technologies, a construction management software company, to enhance its platform's ecosystem for design and construction management software services. This collaboration builds on an existing partnership in February 2020 to integrate Matterport's 3D model into the Procore software.

Under the terms of the agreement, Matterport will be available in the Procore App Marketplace. Procore users will be able to utilize features such as RFIs, Observations, and Coordination Issues directly within Matterport's 3D digital twins, creating a visual system of record for site conditions. This centralizes record-keeping, improves progress tracking, and enables efficient closeout processes. 

Analyst QuickTake: As highlighted in the company’s Q2 2023 earnings update, Matterport is actively pursuing strategic partnerships to drive its pipeline, expand its industry ecosystems, and explore new distribution channels to widen its global reach. Earlier this year, the company entered several key partnerships, including: 1) Equinox Technologies , to offer its digital twin platform in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions (July 2023); 2) CompuSoluciones , to expand its presence in Mexico and Colombia (June 2023); and 3) Autodesk , to expand platform integrations with Autodesk Construction Cloud (in March 2023).
