Cato Networks, a Tel Aviv-based software-defined networking startup, has raised USD 238 million at a company valuation of USD 3 billion. The round was led by LightSpeed Venture Partners, with participation from Adams Street Partners, Softbank Vision Fund 2, Sixty Degree Capital, and Singtel Innov8. Cato's total funding raised following the round stands at USD 773 million.
The funds will be split between three initiatives: Growing Cato’s customer base, expanding its partner ecosystem, and growing its engineering and product teams. Following the funding, the founder and director of LightSpeed, Ravi Mhatre, will join Cato’s board.
Cato Networks reportedly plans to go public within the next year. In 2022, the company reported over USD 100 million in ARR, with revenue growing 60% YoY and a gross retention rate of over 95%.
