Dvele, a manufacturer of prefabricated homes, announced the construction of two new manufacturing facilities in Monterrey, Mexico, and the US (undisclosed location) to increase production of its self-powered homes to combat and address the housing crisis.
It is part of a USD 428 million investment plan that includes a USD 80 million manufacturing facility in Butte, Montana, which began construction in June.
In these facilities, Dvele aims to use robotics and automation to produce a more affordable “Essential” home line, costing 20% less than its “Advanced” line, maintaining essential features but with smaller windows and entry-level appliances.
