Product updates

  • Dexterity, a developer of robots for logistics, warehousing, and supply chain operations, has unveiled an AI-powered robotic technology for loading boxes into trucks and trailers in partnership with global courier and shipping services provider FedEx for the development of the technology.

  • Dexterity's proprietary mobile robot, “DexR,” autonomously navigates to the back of trailers and uses AI software to assess and pack boxes efficiently. The technology involves generative wall planning, a sense of touch, machine-learning-based pack improvement, and integrated motion planning.

  • FedEx is testing the technology with the goal of refining it for commercial deployment in the future.
