Bonsai Robotics, a company providing computer vision-based automation solutions for agriculture, has raised USD 13.5 million in a seed funding round led by Acre Venture Partners, with participation from E14, Congruent, Serra Ventures, Fall Line Capital, SNR Ventures, Andros, and angel investors, including Travis Deyle, Lee Redden, and Matt Barnard.
The company plans to use the funds to accelerate its product development and invest in hiring and sales and marketing.
Founded in 2022, Bonsai Robotics provides computer vision-based robotic automation solutions for agriculture. The company's solutions are integrated with OEM equipment to make them autonomous and capable of operating without GPS in adverse conditions, including dust, debris, and vibration. As of date, the company has partnered with key OEMs, including OMC, Flory Industries, and Danfoss. Growers, including Pomona Farming, participated in trials of Bonsai Robotics' technology in early 2023.
